Описание: Senator Rodante Marcoleta questioned the Department of Justice's (DOJ) proposed 1.5 billion PHP confidential funds for 2025, an 800% increase, and suggested reallocating 365 million PHP to the Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution (OADR) for 2026. Senator Gatchalian justified the funds for high-profile cases and for the Witness Protection Program (WPP) due to ongoing investigations. Marcoleta also strongly debated the Prosecutor General's alleged requirement of "restitution" for WPP applicants, arguing it's unlawful and not stipulated in Republic Act 6981.
