The new soundproofing system of the Megane E-Tech Electric offers several advantages:
improvement of vehicle noise insulation (-10d bB);
increased comfort for the passengers;
Optimized range thanks to weight savings of more than 3 kg

The inventors removed the traditional soundproofing elements under the vehicle's carpeting - including the heavy mass of resin - and placed a new, patented damping foam under the floor of the New Megane E-Tech Electric. This foam adapts perfectly to the shape of the floor at the top and to the battery case at the bottom. When compressed, it acts as a vibration dampener, reducing floor noise and creating a quieter interior environment.

The innovation also resulted in a thinner floor panel, which in turn offers more space for passengers and reduces weight. This results in optimized energy efficiency, which in turn increases the range of the electric vehicle.


The new rotor winding process for the Megane E-Tech Electric offers a number of advantages:
it is more environmentally friendly as it is magnet-free and therefore free of rare earths
the rotor becomes more robust and works more reliably
Optimized efficiency by limiting power consumption (by modulating the current) and therefore reducing energy loss, especially at high speeds or on the highway
Production costs are lower as the technology is used for the engines of the Zoe E-Tech Electric, Twingo E-Tech Electric, Kangoo E-Tech Electric and Master E-Tech Electric, all of which are manufactured on the same production line in Cléon.
