UTV Motion Pictures -

UTV Motion Pictures was the feature film unit of UTV Software Communications founded by Ronnie Screwvala and Zarina Screwvala in 1996 as UTV Motion Pictures Plc., the film distribution division of UTV Software Communications. Super Hit Films like Dangal, Rang De Basanti, Barfi! Jodhaa Akbar, Chennai Express, The Lunchbox, & Haider, UTV Motion Pictures had a library of domestic regional films and animation productions alongside select international productions with the studio moving into film production in Bollywood, and further expanding in Hollywood in partnership with studios such as 20th Century Studios, Walt Disney Pictures and Sony Pictures.[2] In July 2017, UTV Motion Pictures closed down, shortly after the release of the film Jagga Jasoos, and planned to focus on its Hollywood films distribution and television and licensing and merchandising businesses through the banner, effectively pulling the plug on its Hindi film production.

Viacom 18 Studios -

Viacom18 Studios was an Indian film distribution and production company. It was a subsidiary of JioStar, a joint venture between Reliance Industries, Viacom18 and Disney India. Based in Mumbai, it was one of the first studio model based motion picture & content production business in India, with an operation that involves acquisition, production, syndication, marketing and worldwide distribution of full-length feature films as well as digital only films, web series, short films. Due to Viacom being one of the partners in the company at that time, they also distribute films from Paramount Pictures in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka since 2011, starting with Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

The studio was founded in March 2008 as a joint venture between 20th Century Fox and co-owned by Star India. In 2009, the studio acquired the rights for My Name Is Khan, the studio's debut film as distributor. In 2011, Fox Star Studios entered the Tamil film industry with Engaeyum Eppothum, as co-producing for AR Murugadoss's AR Murugadoss Productions. In 2013, the studio released Tamil-feature Raja Rani, which won four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards In 2015, the studio entered a 9-film deal with Dharma Productions as a co-producer and distributor. In 2016, Kapoor & Sons was released as the first film under the arrangement.The same year, the studio won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi for its in-house production Neerja. The studio also released M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, the biopic of then Indian Cricket captain MS Dhoni. In 2017, the studio entered a three-film deal with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. In May 2018, the studio entered a multi-film deal with Akshay Kumar's Cape of Good Films and had set Mission Mangal with Kumar attached to star. In 2019, the studio released Chhichhore In early 2020, the studio had released Chhapaak starring Deepika Padukone, sports-drama Panga starring Kangana Ranaut and Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Shikara The studio had released Baaghi 3 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and the film ended its box-office run as the second-highest grossing Hindi-film of 2020. In June 2020, Star India, the parent company of the studio decided to release the rest of the 2020 slate directly on the sister streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar under Disney+ Hotstar Multiplex Initiative. The films released on the platform were Dil Bechara, Lootcase, Sadak 2, and Laxmii. Star Studio18 ( is an Indian motion picture production and distribution company. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of JioStar. The studio produces films like Jolly LLB 3 starting Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao & Gajraj Rao. And this is the first ever film in the banner of Star Studio18
