In this video Driveway Dudes Paul attempts to bring back to life two long dead Asus Memo Pads 7HD model ME173X and to try find out why the screens stopped working.
The screens had stopped working about one year after purchase and they were tossed away in a cupboard. Several years later while doing a clean-out the owner found them and gave them to us to do as we wish.
Watch this video and Paul shows you what appears to be a common fault on these models and fixes it at not cost whatsoever.
Now it may be an old tablet that was launched in 2013 with android 4.2.2 but some apps are still available and it may even be possible to update/upgrade them.
It has a slot in the side that can take up to a 32gb microSD card as well as being 1080p 30fps and usb 4 so all in all it is not a bad tablet at all.
And it cost nothing but a few minutes of time to fix.
