Third and last discussion of a cycle of debates organized by Alliance Française Kathmandu, the French language and cultural center, with the support of the Paris French Institut.
The main theme was: “Kathmandu, towards a more inclusive city”.
AFK wanted to talk about an important topic: waste management and more particularly about the waste workers of the Kathmandu Valley.
How is waste managed in the growing city of Kathmandu? What are the working conditions of people in this field? How to give more value and highlight this work, essential for everyone's well-being?
Before starting the discussion, we wanted to give the waste workers a chance to speak through a short video of 10 minutes. It will also be a way to get deeper into the topic.
