(My general claim about forests being categorized by their economic function is probably slightly overstated, but it's based on multiple of these pages I attempted to translate that showed parcels of land being bestowed upon certain people for certain functions like hunting or wood-cutting. Maybe more true to say that they were "often granted" to certain people for certain functions, rather than "categorized".)
