In a long shadow of violence, New Caledonia will soon vote on Independence. An issue polarized between the native Kanak and French settlers. Despite the island's scenic nature, tensions run deep in the territory.

A long, turbulent history colors the vote. Which has divided a majority of the populace. Those for-France against those who desire Independence.
