India is currently in discussions on over a dozen trade deals, with FTAs helping drive geographical diversification in trade. As the country’s largest trade finance provider, trade book stands at nearly USD 30 billion. He noted that Q3 growth remains strong at 7.5%, with easing inflation and policy rate cuts softening interest rates. Fiscal measures are aiding healthy credit growth. Highlighting a structural shift, he said banks may increasingly tap markets for funding as deposit growth lags asset expansion.
