Описание: Shenyang Ligong University (SYLU), founded in 1948, is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Liaoning Province, China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, China South Industries Group Corporation Limited, and State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence. It is a pilot university of the National Outstanding Engineer Education and Training Program and a university to recruit international students with Chinese Government Scholarship. It is one of the first construction units of "Digital Intelligence Demonstration Base of School-Enterprise Collaboration, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and it is also the independent pilot unit of "one-stop" comprehensive management mode for student communities by the Ministry of Education.

SYLU is located on the south bank of the beautiful Hunhe River in Shenyang, the capital city of Liaoning Province, covering an area of 1.13 million square meters and a floor area of 490,000 square meters. It has 1,703 faculty members, including 1,100 full-time teachers, 589 of whom are full-time teachers with senior titles and 551 of whom are doctoral and master research supervisors. There is 1 part-time academician, and 15 excellent teachers including national candidates of "Hundred- Thousand- Ten Thousand Talent Project", nationally outstanding teachers, experts enjoying the special government allowance of The State Council, and "New Century Outstanding Talents" awarded by the Ministry of Education. The university also has 131 teachers who are provincial leading talents, provincial outstanding experts, provincial specially-appointed professors, candidates of the "Talent Plan for Liaoning's prosper", provincial academic leaders, provincial Hundred- Thousand- Ten Thousand Talent Project", provincial renowned teachers, provincial excellent teachers, and provincial innovative talents of colleges and universities. There is 1 teaching team of Huangdanian type, 6 provincial teaching teams and 7 provincial innovation teams. SYLU has several national platforms including a state-level base called Shenyang Sino-Russian Science and Technology Cooperation Base, national key laboratory of the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), and a national education base for popularization of science--Weapon Museum, and it also has 26 innovation platforms including ministerial and provincial key laboratories, Engineering Technology Research Centers, and Institutes of Industry Technology, such as key technology "Modern Weapon Technology and Equipment Engineering Research Center".

The university has a total enrollment of 17,851 full-time students, including 15,321 undergraduates and 2,530 postgraduates. Centering on the fundamental task of fostering people with morality education, this university has achieved fruitful results in the areas of cultivating high-quality and practised talents, renewing teaching concepts, researching teaching methods, and exploring training models. It has received the approval of the Ministry of Education for the construction project of industry-education integration of 121 million yuan. This project includes 5 national first-class undergraduate projects, 2 special major programs, 1 pilot major of comprehensive reform, 2 majors of outstanding engineer education and training program, 19 provincial first-class undergraduate programs, 2 national first-class undergraduate courses and 47 provincial first-class undergraduate courses. There are 18 national and provincial off-campus practical educational bases for college students, 12 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, 14 excellent textbooks of Liaoning Province and weapon industry, 1 College of Automotive Engineering of Liaoning Province. In the past 5 years, SYLU has won 36 ministerial and provincial undergraduate teaching achievement awards, and 10 demonstration bases for joint training of postgraduates for professional qualification in Liaoning Province, and SYLU students have won 93 national awards, published 1998 papers and obtained 565 authorized patents. The quality of undergraduate students has been improved, the enrollment of graduate students has been significantly enlarged, and the employment rate of graduates has remained above 92%.
