My 1972 VW Type 2 Van is my first EV Conversion project, and was inspired by a desire to harness new tech to reuse existing, precious resources. With ~20 million cars getting scrapped in the USA & Europe every year, I think there's a great opportunity to convert decent older cars to electric with great kit providers like EV West and great installers like EV SoCal.

ABOUT AMANECER: Amanecer means "Sunrise" in Spanish and is a mark of respect to my Mexican-American family. I chose the name because I think we're starting to manifest a new dawn where we use technology to make much smarter use of existing resources for a healthier world, and my goal is to document inspiring examples of this from all over the world.
