When the PAST PARTICIPLE agrees - PASSÉ COMPOSÉ with AVOIR // French conjugation course // Lesson 23

Описание: The passé composé with avoir doesn't follow the same rules as the one with être (previous lesson). For the past participle to agree in gender and number, the direct object or direct object pronoun has to be placed before the verb.
Another possible way is with the relative pronoun QUE / QU'. In this case, it replaces the direct object, therefore the past participle will agree in gender and number.
The agreement can change the pronunciation depending on the last letter of the past participle. If it's a vowel, the pronunciation won't change, but it will if it's a consonant.
