Show Low, AZ: Waste Management Heil 7000's

Описание: All in all, the Show Low trip was a huge success. We went up not knowing if these 7000's even ran. Drove through snow, got snowed on, and it was cold and windy all day, but the trucks and drivers were well worth it. It seems like the drivers are routinely working late, as well.

Two trucks collect trash and recycling in Show Low, while a third takes care of surrounding areas (on Thursdays, it happens to be Concho, Vernon, and Snowflake, AZ). The third route covers a ton of ground while picking up a limited number of cans. We followed them for about an hour, and probably only picked up a dozen or so cans.

The two ladies that collect in Show Low were really friendly, and not to mention about as fast as they could go in these trucks. Both trucks were entertaining to watch for their own reasons... the recycle truck because of how it sounds, and the trash truck because of the speed - there's one clip where the arm comes down at full speed. It'd be cool to see it operate like that all the time!

Granted I don't know much about truck mechanics, these all seem to run pretty quick and efficiently. They are slated to be replaced at the end of this year, so we'll see how that turns out. Thank you to all the awesome drivers!
