As part of the World Theatre Day Celebrations 2026, the ITI Uganda Centre hosted a vibrant Women in Theatre Conference under the theme: “Routes & Roots: Artistic Narratives of Migration.” Held at the UNCC – Uganda National Theatre on 14th March 2026, the event brought together dynamic theatre and film practitioners from across the industry.
Our powerhouse panel, from left to right, featured: actress Nalongo Eronie Bazongere, screenwriter Catherine Bagaya, director and playwright Ntuulo Eronie Matovu, director and playwright Kaya Kagimu Mukasa, and playwright Dorothy Muhirwe. The conversation was moderated by Patience Nuwagaba.
