*Fish Biryani
Aaj hum bahot yummi Fish Biryani banaayenge! Yeh dish Pakistani homes mein super popular hai.mint, lemon, aur zardi spices se bhara hua, ye biryani taste buddies ko impress karna guarantee hai.
Ingredients (Serving 4-5)
Basmati rice – 2 cups (soaked 30min)
Fresh fish (tilapia, pomfret or salmon) – 500g, cubed
Yogurt – ½ cup
Onion – 2 large (thinly sliced, fried)
Tomato – 2 medium, chopped
Green chilies – 2-3, slit
Mint leaves (pudina) – handful
Coriander leaves (dhania) – handful
Lemon wedges – 1-2
Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Ginger paste – 1 tbsp
Biryani masala / Garam masala – 1-2 tsp
Turmeric (haldi) – ½ tsp
Red chili powder (lal mirch) – ½ tsp
Saffron strands (zafran) – few, soaked in warm milk
Oil / Ghee – 3 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Method
1. Marination: Fish cubes ko yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, salt, lemon juice marinate kardo. 20-30 min rest de.
2. Rice: Basmati rice par boil karo 70% cooked, strain.
3. Masala: Pan mein oil/ghee heat karo, fry onions till golden. Add ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, green chilies, sauté. Add biryani masala, haldi, red chili powder, mix.
4. Fish: Marinated fish add karo, low flame pe 5-7 min cook karo. Shamil kardo mint, dhania.
5. Layering: Large pot (dum pot) mein half rice spread karo. Top fish masala, mint, coriander, lemon wedges. Remaining rice spread karo. Saffron milk drizzle, butter/ghee drop.
6. Dum: Pot seal karo (dough or foil), low flame 15-20 min. Let it sit 5 min, then fluff.
Serve
Serve hot with raita (yogurt, cucumber, mint) or salad. Enjoy!
