It has actually come to my attention that the cause for errors when following my guide is due to some changes that were made to the sonicretro github version of Sonic 1.

Don't build or run the game until everything has been added. And make sure to skip the section at 11:40 - 12:28
For those new to Sonic disassembly hacking. I cover how to implement Sonic's spindash from Sonic 2 over to Sonic 1's Github disassembly.
Here I cover the basics in this part, like where to insert specific code and how to import the animation frames into the game using Flex2.
