POV: Your dad asked you to build a PC in this economy 💔🥀

Описание: I could’ve never imagined building PCs would get this expensive, this fast. But here’s why I did it anyway:

So my dad told me that the PC in his office keeps crashing and it’s an ancient Intel Pentium build. Since he didn’t want to risk his files, he asked me to build the cheapest possible PC for basic office apps and file management.

Since current hardware prices are through the roof, I checked what I already had on hand and decided to build this PC using some new and mostly used parts from my older builds.

While this PC won’t break any benchmarks with an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G, 8 gigs of DDR4 2400 MHz RAM, and a 256 GB PCIe3 SSD, it is certainly more than enough for office tasks.

And considering I only had to spend ~$100 USD on the CPU and RAM, I would say it’s a win win. Having these older parts definitely came in clutch.

I do wish I had bought the CPU and RAM used too, but my dad wanted a PC right away, so waiting for a good deal in the used market wasn’t something he wanted to do.
