On April 11, 2005, John White, pastor of Bluestem Baptist Church in Dewey, Oklahoma, died of a heart attack, leaving behind his wife Danna and their five children. The community raised funds for the family, allowing them to buy property and two run-down trailers. While the family stayed in Longboat Key, Florida, the team built them a new house on their property.
