Описание: Continuing down the road of ammeter star that never shined, today’s feature is one of the most fierce guards I’ve seen in a long time. Think Baron Davis with the Hornets when he was still attacking the basket and finishing with 1 ferocious dunk after the other. Dez Wells has a lot less handle, but a lot more tenacity in how he attacked and punished the rim. Surely on the high school level I’ve never seen anything like him at the guard position of this combination. Watching him play it’s easy to see he had a lot of what it takes physically and skill wise to have a serious shot at not only being drafted, but sticking in the NBA, but in his resume is equally much of what NBA teams don’t exactly jump for when thinking of taking a player with an all important draft pick. Learning that he went undrafted in 2015, was a shock. Even after improving his scoring in each season, played in some of the most competitive conferences while at Maryland, and proved an adequate shooter, posting 51% from 3, taking 49 of them on the season and making 25. Dez Wells was just as, if not equal to the athlete his hometown friend John is, yet because of his resume, along with these reasons, his basketball journey didn’t go how it should’ve based on talent and opportunity.
