Flight 83: West Wales Aberporth to Haverfordwest, with X-Plane 12 & Orbx True-Earth GB scenery.

Описание: Continuing our journey down the west coast of Wales, our destination today is Haverfordwest Airport.

Whilst making this video, my PC suffered a major problem during downloading and updating Windows. This rendered my C drive complete useless. Luckily all my data files had been backed up.

After having a new C drive fitted, and Windows re-installed, I then had to re-install all the custom hardware drivers. This took ages. I am now at the point where I can finish producing this video, although not in the way as previous videos. All the music this time is via the Vegas Hub Audio Library.

The next problem will running X-Plane in VR. Meta recently released an update which has made the Rift S a pain in the arse! I still need to find a work-around for it.

Playing back the replay file in X-Plane still produces a lot of stutters of about half a second. I have edited them out, but there are one or two that I know I have missed.

The PC is a Predator Orion 9000, running Windows 11; with dual GeForce 1080ti graphics cards, and 128gb memory. All the flight sim software, and scenery files, are installed onto a single 1tb solid state drive.

The journey is flown in VR using the Oculus Rift S.

The only plug-ins I'm using at the moment are:
AviTab – Used during the actual flight.
Little NavMap – Used to create the flight plan, the flight data log, and the map seen at the start of the video.
X-Camera - for recording the replay. This needs to be disabled during flight in VR.

After the flight, the replay file is saved, and then played back through X-Plane. The video is recorded in 4k at 60fps using GeForce Experience.

The resulting video clips are then edited together in Vegas Pro, and rendered at 60fps in 4K.
