This is an except from one of our MMA fight team sessions at The Griphouse.
In this situation our opponent has timed one of our strikes, ducked under and managed to take us to the mat.
Generally the worst thing we can do here is allow our back to hit the mat and stay there, we want to stay up on our hand, curl our legs back and use my other arm to reach through and attach onto our opponents belly with....The Belly Whizzer.
We use this anchor to pop back to our feet and work into a more conventional sprawl type position.
