This video explains Foodscaping Utah's vision for foodscaping and discusses foodscape design, benefits, and why foodscaping matters. It also suggests a list of edible ornamental plants that can be incorporated into any landscape, garden or foodscape design.
With foodscape design we are very intentional about growing food, putting the food front and center and making features out of examples like squash arbors, grape arbors, espalier fruit trees and a variety of edible ornamentals. Foodscaping allows us to grow a lot of food in a small space but also make it beautiful. Foodscaping is an opportunity to create art and grow food at the same time.
Foodscaping is how we can bring not only beauty to our surroundings but flavor, accessibility and nutrition back to our food. It's how we can weave healthy food into our surroundings and sustainability into our daily lives.
