Welcome to the first episode of Utterly Pointless Comparisons! In this ongoing series I'll compare two (or more) different versions of the same game on different platforms. I'll kick things off with Altered Beast! What you'll see is a complete playthrough of the arcade (system16) and Genesis versions of the game.
Video quality will improve as time goes on, so be kind and cut me some slack :) Things will improve as time goes on, I promise! [This is a message from me in the future! The newer ones are definitely better!]
The actual comparison starts at 6:16 if you're the impatient type.
Some bonus differences I didn't mention in the intro video itself:
1. The music order is different. For the arcade one it plays the music in this order: levels 1, 2, 3, 1 ,2. In the Genesis version the order of the music is levels 1, 2, 3, 2, 3.
2. The endings are way different. The ending on the Genesis version stinks. The ending on the arcade version is fun!
