Since then, her mother, Powelson Endowed Chair in Biology Cathy Pederson '92, has made it her mission to bring awareness to Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, advocating for research dollars and ensuring Wittenberg students understand such invisible illnesses.
