Corvette! How to Drive with Hand Controls & load Wheelchair

Описание: When Dan was injured almost 8 years ago, he thought he'd never drive his Corvette again. He didn't think his Wheelchair would fit into his little sports car. Turns out...it's TOTALLY possible. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

In this video, you will see a tutorial on loading and unloading a wheelchair into a small sports car and a demonstration of hand controls. Also, stay tuned at the end for OUTTAKES from trying to film a video with a toddler in tow.

If you purchase a new vehicle, make sure to check with the manufacturer for the ADA rebate. We have received a rebate on 3 of our cars through Dodge, Volkswagen, and Nissan...each for about $1000 (the hand controls will cost you about $1700-$2000).

SmartDrive: The SmartDrive is a motor that you can attach to your wheelchair. To operate it, you wear a wristband...when you tap your wrist, it makes the motor go. We were able to get Dan's insurance to pay for his SmartDrive!
