Chimney Hollow Dam and Reservoir - Can you Drink the Water?

Описание: In this video, I discuss the design and construction aspects of the largest dam built in he United States in the last 25 years: The Chimney Hollow Dam near Loveland, Colorado. The construction of this dam began in 2021 and the dam was just topped out in July 2025. This project development goes back over a period of 30 years. However, in June 2025, the project owner, Northern Water announced concentrations of uranium that had accumulated in the water upstream of the cofferdam that exceeded EPA guidelines for drinking water standards.
