I did a very pleasant day trip to Winter Park Florida (just north of Orlando) to do a bit of kayaking and see the scenic venetian Canal and to eat lunch at Dog Island. I also hung up the hammock to take a mid-day siesta to escape the heat. The parking at the Dinky Docks was free, as was the boat launch so all it cost for this amazing day was the fuel to get there. It was some of the most visual pleasing "city" kayaking that I've done and it was definitely worth the drive through traffic to get there. All in all it was about 5 miles of paddling for the day and I would rate it as an "easy" trip for anyone. #kayaking #orlando #winterparkflorida #venetiancanal
