The XCR is made by Robinson Armament in Utah, USA. I love this platform. It is honestly my favourite family of rifles. Modern design with my favourite ergonomics if any rifle. Side charging with integrated forward assist, short throw ambi safety, index finger ambi bolt catch/release located at the bottom of the trigger guard, Ar ambi mag release. Side folding, telescopic stock that can be shot folded.

New lightweight piston uppers are monolithic and available in keymod and mlok. Quick change barrel system. Fastest disassembly of any all guns I’ve tried. Adjustable gas and absolutely reliable (except I experimented with turning down the gas in this video and had some issues.. in the 1500 rounds into this gun these were some of the first and most notable issues I’ve had).

The XCR is available in a L (.223, 762x39, 6.8spc etc) size and a M (.308, 6.5, .260rem etc) size, each with lightweight, medium, and heavy contoured barrels. The latest gen has lower profile gas blocks that tuck under the handguard, and the option of longer handguards.

This firearm is considered ‘non restricted’ In Canada when outfitted with an 18.6”+ length barrel, and is therefore legal to own with a PAL (possession and acquisition license).
