We've seen vintage LG2s in all sorts of wood combinations, but one with maple back and sides is a rarity! ​The Gibson LG2 was part of the same series as the LG1 and LG3, but it was the only model that continued production during WWII. Due to stock shortages, Gibson often had to use woods other than mahogany and spruce for the back, sides and top. For this 1944 LG2, Gibson used maple for the back and sides.
