For artist Trevor Swanson, there are no better words than, "I feel like I'm there." That is his goal with every painting––to make the viewer feel like they have stepped into that scene, whether it's a thicket of desert shrubs dotted with quail or a dense forest with a few elk milling around. He creates those vivid scenes by spending time in the wilderness to capture magical moments, then uses rich patinas and colors to recreate them on canvas and metal
