As announced in the 2024/2025 Budget, a one-off Pregnancy Care Allowance of Rs 3,000 will be paid by the Government of the Republic of Mauritius to expecting mothers who have completed six mandatory medical checkups with respect to the pregnancy.
Eligible women are required to electronically make an application to the MRA and provide the bank details of a bank account held solely by her, in her own name, or jointly with her spouse, mother, father or legal guardian.
After necessary verifications, MRA will make payment of the allowance solely in that bank account. MRA informs eligible women that the facility to apply for the payment of the allowance is available on MRA website: https://www.mra.mu/eservices1/financi...
