Описание: Settlement of Claims in respect of Deceased Customers of Banks: भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने बैंक ग्राहकों के मृतक परिजनों के लिए दावा निपटान (claim settlement) प्रक्रिया को सरल बनाने और उसमें तेजी लाने के लिए नए और कड़े निर्देश जारी किए हैं. RBI के नए निर्देशों के अनुसार, अब परिजन बैंक खाते में जमा 15 लाख रुपये तक की राशि (थ्रेशोल्ड लिमिट) के लिए कानूनी दस्तावेज के बिना भी आसानी से क्लेम कर सकते हैं. सहकारी बैंकों (Co-operative banks) के लिए यह सीमा 5 लाख रुपये निर्धारित की गई है. देरी होने पर बैंकों पर जुर्माना लगाया जाएगा.

Settlement of Claims in respect of Deceased Customers of Banks: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued new and stringent instructions to simplify and expedite the claim settlement process for the relatives of deceased bank customers. According to the new RBI instructions, relatives can now easily claim up to Rs 15 lakh (threshold limit) deposited in the bank account, even without legal documents. For co-operative banks, this limit has been fixed at Rs 5 lakh. Banks will be fined for any delay.
