Amanda Nguyen, CEO and founder of Rise, a national nonprofit working to implement a Sexual Assault Survivor Bill of Rights, discusses the tools she used to build a movement and her journey of utilizing the law to engender change.
Amanda Nguyen, a two-time Forbes 30 under 30 recipient and 2019 Nobel Peace Prize nominee, founded Rise after experiencing first-hand the broken rape survivor justice system. Rise worked to write, and implement, the Sexual Assault Survivors' Bill of Rights, which passed through Senate in September 2019, and was signed into law a month later. Currently, Amanda is training to become an astronaut.
