Louis Johnson’s bassline is very funky and intriguing! Listen to the maingroove (for instance bar 10) where he plays the note in the first count on the second eight and in the second count on the second and fourth sixteenth count. He uses a lot of hammer on (for instance bar 9 on the fourth count). And there are also some fast sixteenth licks (for instance bar 5 and 53). It’s a great fun to plays this bassline steady and groovy!
