Amah Detsi is a native traditional soup popular amongst the ewe tribe of Ghana with it’s main ingredient being the Water leaf also known as Yevu Gboma (Ama for short) by the ewe tribe and Borkorborkor by some other tribes in Ghana. This meal is rich in flavor and extremely delicious. It can be paired with a variety of dishes like rice, yam, Yakeyake, Akple etc.

Ingredients

A basket of waterleaf
Palm oil
Onion,ginger, garlic
Pepper, tomatoes, tomato paste
Pork trotters
Smoked mackerel
Shrimps
Cow meat (beef)
Cured beef
Crabs
Clams (Adodi)
Cow skin (Wele)
Cured fish (lanfifi/ momone)
Dried Herrings ( dzador / amane)
