The Cowboys defense has allowed 477 points this year under Matt Eberflus, the most in franchise history. Their 29.8 points per game are the 2nd most in franchise history. To break the 1960 mark of 30.8, the Cowboys have to allow 523 points total, which is 46 against the Giants. So that probably won’t happen. That was their first season playing football, so does it even really count?

The Cowboys won’t tank, but will they sit their starters in NFL Week 18? Dak Prescott has made it clear he wants to play, but the door is cracked based on his comments: “Lot of pride, and I think that's another reason I want to play. In a season [of] me being healthy, I've never had, in all of my life, career, a season under .500. So, that tie is going to come into play really well. So, it's a huge difference. It's one of those things that, I mean, yeah, it's just pride. It's pride, honestly. I love this game. I love any opportunity that I get to play it. So, with that being said, yeah, if I get to go out there, I'm going to give my best. I'm going to prepare the same way. I'm going to be the same player. I understand the reasons why maybe not [to play], and if I'm approached with that, I'll handle it then.”
