Exciting news from my team of students! They've successfully developed the first prototype of a flexible strain sensor based on the principle of mechano-optical sensing. This device is highly stretchable and capable of sensing a wide range of stretching, making it perfect for our ultimate goal of using it on the human body to monitor and analyze joint motion for potential neuro-motor problems.
Our students are continuing to optimize the sensor's design and are currently developing a custom-made smart app that can wirelessly receive real-time data and display it to the user. Still lot of work is remaining, hopefully all the information, performance testing and other details will be shared in the form of research paper. #innovation #healthtech #research #engineering #education
