Jared Wihongi is a Domain Expert for Ro& by Armatec Global and is an internationally recognized authority as a Close-Quarters Combat (CQC) instructor. His areas of expertise include the integration of firearms, impact weapons, edged weapons, and empty-hand combat with emphasis on police, military, and self-defense applications.
Mr Wihongi’s 20+ years of experience on three American Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams have had a significant influence on his teaching approach to close-combat tactics, having taught CQC tactics to police and military special operations personnel worldwide. With over 30 years’ training in various striking, grappling, and weapon-based martial arts, he is one of only a handful of individuals globally who holds the advanced rank of “Tuhon” in the Filipino combat art of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, and is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on the modern tactical application of the combat art of Kali.
