Junaraj is an ancient site in Rajpipla, located near the Karjan Dam in the Satpura Mountains and was formerly the administrative capital of Rajpipla. It houses a Shiva temple and a Shivalinga, which emerges from the waters of the Narmada River, and is a popular tourist destination, especially for ecotourism.  

Location and history

Location:

Junaraj is located in the Satpura Mountains of Narmada district of Gujarat, near the Curzon Dam.  

Historical importance:

It was the ancient administrative capital of the Rajpiplar kingdom founded by the Gohil Rajputs.  

Tourist attractions

Shiva Temple and Shivlinga:

There is an ancient Shiva temple here, with a Shivalinga rising from the waters of the Narmada River. This is a tourist attraction.
