Postural changes are common in Parkinson’s. While the effects on balance, fall risk, and pain are well recognized, posture can also significantly influence voice and speech clarity, breath support, and swallowing safety. Even small, targeted improvements in alignment can make daily communication and eating easier and safer.
Join speech-language pathologist John Dean, MA, CCC-SLP and physiotherapist Josefa Domingos, PT, PhD for a practical discussion on how posture affects the whole system in Parkinson’s—and clear strategies to address communication and swallowing concerns linked to postural changes.
