I've been playing World of Warcraft since early 2006, so it's been a part of my life for quite a while. I've decided to make an on-and-off Let's Play of the game, doing one zone at a time to experience the lore and the many stories of this huge MMORPG!
Dire Maul is the ruins of an elven city, once known by the name of Eldre'thalas. The few remaining elves, all of the Highborne cast, have secluded themselves in the western portion of the ruins and call themselves the Shen'dralar. The northern part has been claimed by the Gordok Ogres, while the east has been taken over by a gang of Satyrs.
The eastern part of Dire Maul, also known as Warpwood Quarters, is full of hostile plantlife. Lashers, treants and even a few Ancients roam the halls and attack anyone who dares cross their path. They've become this way because their minds have been twisted by a group of Satyrs lead by Alzzin the Wildshaper. There is evil magic here that must be stopped!
