1974 MARSHALL SUPER BASS Repair and Mods (ADAM JONES UNDERTOW TONE!) | The Guitologist

Описание: This vintage 1974 Marshall Super Bass Mk.2 Model 1992 came to me not passing signal. It had been modified before by someone with a Master Volume and all the power capacitors replaced. The power transformer and choke had also been replaced at some point in the amp's past.

So first we'll troubleshoot the issue of no sound. Then we'll bias the output tubes that someone had changed from the original 6550 to EL-34. Then we'll compare the schematics for this Model 1992 SUPER BASS and the 1959 SUPER LEAD and modify this into the latter model. There are only about 9 or 10 parts one needs to change to turn a 70s Marshall Super Bass into a Super Lead. I'll show in detail how this is done and explain why one might want to do it. At the end of the video, we'll demonstrate the amp with my Zio Brad Linzy Signature Meteorite.
