A sunny but cold early spring day allowed for a quick drone flight to check the progress of the new Millbank Lock housing estate in Partington. Flight was between 100ft and 350ft, and flown in VLOS according to the CAA Drone Code.
The new estate is coming on well, a fair few of the houses have people living in them, but it looks like another year or so until it is fully finished - still think the woodland that was there was of much more value to the community than the houses will be, but thats another story...
The sunny day and clear visibility allows those with a keen eye to spot Winter Hill, Manchester Centre, Alderley Edge, The Peak District - including Kinder Scout, Wildboar clough - Bosley Cloud, Mow Cop, Helsby Hill, Fiddler's Ferry Power station - soon to be demolished - and right in the distance the Mountains of Snowdonia along with the hills that are topped with Beeston and Peckforton Castles.
