Some livestock farmers in Niani, Limpopo, near the border with Zimbabwe, say they are concerned that the dilapidated Red Line fence is not being fixed. They say this makes their livestock susceptible to the Foot-and-Mouth disease. There is no barrier preventing contact between livestock and wild animals, such as buffalo, which are carriers of the disease. They are calling on the government to repair the fence to prevent the spread of the Foot-and-Mouth disease.
