Quite happy with the photos I managed to capture today at Middleton Lakes. I got extremely lucky and managed to photograph my first Owl. In a mad panic of excitement I took over 100 shots. As I never really dialed in any settings on my camera, I used my normal "Run & Gun" settings. My Run & Gun settings are the basic settings I leave my sony a7iv camera in, as I walk around. I've found these settings work for me, in order to grab any photo opportunity that may evolve quickly. When I get more time I can fine tune these settings, but as a whole they seem to work fairly wl in most circumstances. I show what settings I use in this video. I do not go into great detail, I will do in a future video. Please dont expect a detailed tutorial, because its not. I managed to get some fairly decent shots today, obviously if I was more relaxed and took more time, the images would have gome out a lot better. I managed to get Herons, geese, mallards, grebes and a few others, oh not forgetting the Owl.
