A rare, edited looped instrumental taken from a bonus cut off of Nas’s fifth studio album, “Stillmatic”, which was initially released on December 18th, 2001.
Note two things about this particular beat:
• This is the ORIGINAL VERSION that came from Stillmatic’s Circuit City Exclusive LIMITED EDITION release, which featured 3 bonus tracks on that copy of the album (other cuts that were included - Everybody’s Crazy and Every Ghetto).
• This version was released BEFORE the remixed one on Nas’s Lost Tapes album, released a year later (2002). Alchemist is the producer of both records.
Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones, born September 14, 1973), better known by his stage name Nas, is an American rapper. Rooted in East Coast hip hop, he is regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
The son of jazz musician Olu Dara, Nas began his musical career in 1989 under the moniker "Nasty Nas", and recorded demos for fellow East Coast rapper Large Professor. He was later featured on the 1991 song "Live at the Barbeque" by his group, Main Source.
Beat was produced by Grammy award-winning producer, The Alchemist.
