---------[[ WHAT IS P25?? ]]---------
You might have tried to listen to Phoenix PD on your old radio scanner but couldn't. It's because the Police have updated systems that run on a protocol called "P25". Most radio scanners cannot decode or listen to P25. There are a FEW scanners that can decode P25, but they cost between $500 - $1000 usually! Absolutely insane.

I'm here to show you how to run a P25 radio decoder & scanner for $70, so that government transparency remains a thing. I also run this channel on YouTube so people listening aren't forced to install shady "Radio Scanner Apps" on their iPhone/Android, which usually have ads and malware.

My setup is includes a small antenna that I put towards the side of my house closest to South Mountain. The towers up there include a broadcast relay for Police/Fire/EMTs.

Q: WHY IS AUDIO ONLY ON ONE SIDE?
A: The audio is actually in both LEFT & RIGHT speakers. It can get a little hectic to follow, especially if you're new to scanning. Try turning down the LEFT channel. If you listen to it in the background, you'll naturally be able to listen to multiplexed streams like this in no time! Either way, enjoy!

-- RadioReference Premium - $15 LTC/crypto - (https://radioreference.com/premium) Easily activate all of the functions on sdrtrunk. These two work very nice together. You can technically do it manually, for free, but uhhhh.. good luck! (it's $15. the cost of a banana.)
