Join me for a quiet moment in nature. Hidden deep in the wooded valley of Exmoor, Tarr Steps is one of Britain’s most mysterious and atmospheric places. This is a local mystery as no one knows exactly who built this ancient stone crossing… also known as a Clapper Bridge... or how long it has been there. Some say medieval travellers or prehistoric people built it. Local legend says the devil himself did it.

But standing there… none of that feels as important as the quiet feeling of time moving all around you. I can tell you that this is a place that changes you. I used this opportunity to recharge myself and my crystals in the natural, fast-flowing spring water, ideal for wild swimming if you’re brave enough.

I walk across the ancient clapper bridge, listen to the River Barle, and share a moment of stillness in one of the most peaceful landscapes in the South West, UK. This is where time stands still. It's a peaceful place to visit and comes highly recommended.
