Dinesh - Earth 360 Eco Ventures experimented with machines that clean and process grains. In this film, Dinesh explains how a single machine can be used to clean many/all types of grains by making suitable modifications. By following principles of specific gravity, different types of grains can be channeled to different directions to segregate the grains. This machine can remove stones, separate grains as per their specific gravity, and also remove fine dust (that can cause a fest attack in the segregated grains). At Earth 360 Eco Ventures, such multi-purpose machines are also being modified to become more versatile in their applications. Dinesh strongly believes that every village that has about 200 to 400 acres of land under the production of millets/ other grains, can have this facility to make available graded grains/ rice in the village itself. This decentralized processing facility could boost local economy and also health of farming families.
