Get ready to “glow” your friends’ minds with Bright Bugz. This toy gives you the power to grab glowing bugs out of thin air, send lights through solid objects, and magically toss the bugs from hand to hand. Plus, the toy works with an app so that you can send the bugs into your smart device, and capture one of the bugs in a 3-D holobeam.

The secret is two light-up bugs that you discreetly wear on the inside of each index finger. Bright Bugz comes with three sets of elastic bands to fit different finger sizes: small, medium, and large. Once attached to your fingers, make the Bright Bugz light up red by pressing them with your thumb. You’ll want to practice this move so that it looks natural and not like you’re pressing the button on something you’ve got on your fingers. This toy is sort of like doing a magic trick. You want people to believe that you’re really controlling light and ask, “How did she do that?” You can practice tossing the light from hand to hand, passing the light through your ears, passing the light through one of your eyes, sniffing in the light and fake sneezing it out, and pretending to eat the light. And if you are a fan of potty humor, you can pretend to fart out the light after you eat it.

There’s also a free iOS and Android Bright Bugz app so that you can throw your Bright Bugz light onto your smart device’s screen. Shake it around inside your device to watch it bounce and glow. And then drag it out of the device to make it magically appear back in your hands. You can even choose which color you want your Bright Bugz to appear on-screen, but you can’t change the color of the wearable Bright Bugz to match the color on the screen.

Set up the included HoloBeam on top of your smart device’s screen to watch a 3-D hologram of a bug appear inside. Shake your device to make it bounce around.

The app also includes videos of the tricks you can do.
