Augusta West Dance studio was founded in 1978 in Augusta, Georgia, U.S.A. Over the years we have grown from a one studio facility with about 150 students to an 8000 square foot three studio facility. Augusta West currently has almost 1000 students ranging in age from two-year-olds to adults. Classes are offered in many styles of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and musical theater.
Being a part of Project1, Sounds from the Heart was an amazing experience. Being able to share with our students the process of learning choreography, creating choreography, and doing an on-site professional music video was an amazing introduction to what life as a professional dancer is like. I believe that every dancer has a story to tell and this project gave each and every cast member a chance to share theirs. Thank you to Heart Global for allowing Augusta West to be part of such a global gift.

Project1 is a global dance project connecting people from across the world to bring joy, hope, and encouragement and to celebrate together through a difficult time. The project was co-hosted by Heart Global and Jibun Mirai Club.
